The Dark background of the night sky helps the light text stand out. The symbolic cloud shape form the words, as it they are thought bubbles and a person is thinking about their dream. The night sky also allows the viewer to think of dreams you have when you are sleeping and not a aspiration or goal. The wispy clouds and short scratchy brush strokes symbolize the quickness of how long a dream last. Dreams that we have when we are alseep are only seconds long. Gibson shows this but the lines and strokes she using in her artwork "Dreamer".
